Riverside Voices: War and Peace on the Tyne was commissioned by St James’ Heritage & Environment Group as part of our First World War project funding by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The film was directed by local film-maker Adrin Neatrour.

West End Local History – ‘New Benwell’

Open Day for Church Tourism Week – Open Day 24th July
St James’ Church is holding an open day on Tuesday 24th July from 10-4pm as part of Church Tourism Week.
The church will be open to visitors between 10am – 4pm. Visitors are welcome all day, and volunteers from the Heritage & Environment Group will be on hand to welcome visitors and provide information. Exhibitions and publications will be available to browse.
There will be a guided tour of the church at 1pm. No booking required.
